About Katy

Hi, I’m Katy—Thermomix® Consultant, Team Leader, entrepreneur, and IT Project Manager.

My love of cooking started early—at just seven years old—when I decided I’d had enough of burnt sausages and lumpy mash at home. What began as a quest for better food quickly turned into a lifelong passion.

I spent my early working years in fast‑food kitchens before completing a Hospitality Management degree at Bentley TAFE. Always entrepreneurial, I used my chef training to launch a small catering business while also “moonlighting” at Minty’s French Restaurant in East Perth, where I wore many hats—waitress, bar hand, and accounts manager.

A motorbike accident meant I had to step away from hospitality, leading me into the IT services industry—but my love for food never disappeared.

After moving to Melbourne with my partner, my career took me around the world delivering software training. I was lucky enough to eat my way through more than 15 countries, gaining a deep appreciation for global flavours, cultures, and the role food plays in bringing people together.

I returned to Perth in 2012 and became a Thermomix® Consultant—originally to help cover the cost of my much‑loved TM31. My sister Liane (pictured with me) and I shared a long love affair with that machine. While I stepped away from consulting in 2013 to focus on my Project Management career, Thermomix® remained a central part of my kitchen and my life.

In June 2024, Liane and I recommitted to Thermomix® together—and I haven’t looked back since. Then, in April 2025, I stepped into the role of Team Leader, combining my passion for developing people with my love of technology and systems that make everyday life easier.

Today, I lead an incredible team of consultants and help people cook smarter, save time, and enjoy real food—without pressure or perfection.
